Ken Cools of Airdrie spoiled Tyson McCrea's chance of winning his first Canada Cup of season at the Canada Cup in Airdrie, July 3. Cools rode McCrea high in the last turn which opened the door for Aaron Lepp who scooped up the win. McCrea sits in the #3 spot behind Pascheit and Banks for the Canada Cup Pro-Elite Supremacy.
BC had a rough time as Alberta took the Provincial team win and heavy favourites like Brandon Reid were handed 2nd's and 3rd's at the hands of touch competition. The Canada Cup Finals in Medicine Hat will be epic!!
60 motos and 375 riders Saturday and Sunday at the Sagebrush National in Kamloops this past weekend. The ABA's first stop on the Canadian National Series...turned out some awesome racing, fast and efficient execution and great big trophies! The rain prevailed on Friday night but stayed away on Saturday and Sunday. Next stop the ABA Worlds in Nanaimo...get ready for paved corners...they're supposed to be WICKED!
Canada's Junior Aged riders (17-18) go head to head this weekend at the Canada Cup to decide who will earn the trip to Holland for the UCI World Championships. Alberta's Aaron Lepp and Patrick Lebel are rumoured to be the heavies, but BC's Scott Erwood and Everett Hoath have home track advantage. This will be one of the most exciting races this year.
It's National Season!! Two weekends of great racing coming up. CANADA CUP #3 and #4 at Ridge Meadows, then off the Kamloops for the ABA Canadian National Series #1 and #2. Two of the best tracks and there should be a good turnout for both

Pipeline to convert to 8 lane gate and run BMX races? There is a rumour spreading that the Pipeline Track in Coquitlam may upgrade to a full 8 lanes in order to host both MTB and sanctioned BMX races.

Former Redline rider Eric Meyer signs with Factory UFO. Bret Christianson UFO Factory Team manager has recently signed former Redline A Pro Eric Meyer. Eric has been training a 2004 UFO PRO XL and has found the lighter weight and stiff square tubing improving his sprint times. Western Canada by signing Scott Erwood, Adam Muys and the Proworks team to their army.

Ridge Meadows BMX in Pitt Meadows, British Columbia is putting up $400 plus half the 50/50 donations from this weekends BC Cup Finals towards the Louisiana red cross foundation, for relief to stranded victims of the Katrina Hurricane. They're sending out a challenge to all tracks or clubs across Canada and US to meet or beat their donation!!
